Meet the team

A little bit about me and my assistants

	My name is Dabrowka or Dom for short. I take pride in providing a supportive, yet stimulating environment for your child so that they may play, grow and develop with confidence (in a small family-like environment). I have many years experience of working with children and encouraging them to learn and develop through play as a Nanny, Nursery worker and Childminder in the UK and before this as a qualified pre-school teacher (for children aged upto 8) in Poland. I have a Masters degree in Pedagogy (the study of teaching) from Lublin University (Poland) specifically for pre-school children. I have two boys, one 15 and one approaching 18! (Both have grown up with me childminding and will sometimes come and join us in our activities - They are both Young Leaders in the Local Scout group and my younger son is a leading member of York St John Ambulance Cadets). I have been childminding since August 2008.
	Czesc! I’m Natalia! I work as Dabrowka’s full time assistant. I moved across from Poland in 2019 to help Dabrowka out on a full-time basis. I love young children and enjoy singing, painting and just playing with the children.
	Hello! My name is Marek and I'm Dom's husband as well as having qualified as a primary school teacher, I'm also registered with Ofsted as Dom's assistant. I've been supporting Dom since she set up all those years ago. I now work full-time for the Ambulance Service, but still help out from time to time. As well as enjoying running round the playground withe the children, I'm passionate about helping children to learn to read and help teach the pre-school children early phonics.
	Hello I’m Ania. I’m a parent of 3 children (from 8 to 16) all of which have been looked after by Dabrowka and her team over the years. I’m registered as Dabrowka’s assistant for those emergency times to cover sickness or other unexpected absences.

To be a registered assistant a person needs to have an enhanced DBS check and be deemed a 'suitable person' by Ofsted.
